The Role

We are seeking a UI/UX Developer to work as part of an inventive and creative engineering team to help design and build robotic machine tools. The successful UI/UX Developer will report the company CTO but will work as part of a growing team of software and design engineers to develop the User Interface, Experience and control for the robotic tools. The UI/UX Developer will work with the software team and design engineers to develop the Hardware User Interface and User Control software for the robotics from concept to product release and be responsible for the design aesthetics of the interface and the branding. The UI/UX Developer will organize and run the testing of the interface and integrations along with creating and running surveys and research to gather feedback and optimize the ergonomics and workflow of the interface.

About Us

Q5D is a young, fast growing company that is developing robotic machinery to add electrical function to products in the aerospace, automotive and other industries. Q5D’s technology uses additive manufacturing techniques, laser-sintered printed electronics combined with sophisticated CAD/CAM software to automate manufacturing.

About You

  • Good programming skills in CSS and HTML and 1 other high level programming language
  • Wireframing experience, eg Sketch, AdobeXD
  • Experience of web development and graphic design
  • A relevant degree (such as computer Science or mathematics) or its equivalent
  • Experience of working in a project environment
  • Experience using Adobe suite and common development tools
  • Knowledge of, and experience implementing, emerging design trends, eg Material, Fluent
